Shasha
About This Spot
Stepping into Shasha feels like taking a quiet breath away from Jerusalem’s bustling city center. Nestled on Sderot Shai Agnon, this welcoming restaurant unfolds at a gentle, unhurried pace where the calmness of a leafy outdoor yard meets the warm embrace of softly lit indoor corners. It’s the kind of spot where time seems to slow enough for meaningful conversation or quiet reflection, surrounded by greenery and easygoing hums of daily life.
The atmosphere invites you to linger, whether seated outdoors beneath the open sky or inside where sunlight filters through large windows. There’s a delicate balance here—comfort without pretension, attentiveness without rush—that encourages you to settle in and feel at home.
The menu mirrors this thoughtful mood. You’ll find dishes that balance fresh, vibrant flavors with familiar comforts—bright, garden-fresh salads, hearty shakshuka gently spiced to warm the soul, and soulful desserts that pair perfectly with rich, velvety hot chocolate or a carefully crafted coffee. Each bite feels like a carefully made invitation to enjoy the moment fully, whether you pop in for a casual brunch or gather for a special occasion with friends.
The pace is relaxed, highlighted by attentive yet unobtrusive service. It’s clear that care extends beyond food—into how the space feels to each visitor and the little touches that make shared moments so enjoyable. Both locals and visitors find here a quiet refuge, a place that welcomes easy smiles and meaningful connections without the usual rush.
In this corner of Jerusalem, Shasha offers more than a meal; it offers a space to simply be—with good food, soft music filtering in the background, and the comfort of knowing that a welcoming table awaits.

Great cafe with a really great outdoor space. Interesting menu with good food and good service. Highly recommended especially if you want to stay away from the city center.

We made an engagement party last night. The food was great and there was tons of it! The yard area was set up beautifully. The staff were all helpful and pleasant. Can’t thank them enough!

Very nice cafe for breakfast/brunch. Menu is large and has options for everyone. They have menus in both Hebrew and English you just need to ask for which one you want. They have a great indoor and outdoor sitting area. The vibes are very relaxed. Atmosphere is very chill with soft music playing in the background while you eat and have greenery around you if you eat outside. Food presentation and taste was very good. Service could've been a little faster, if you are in a rush do not go here because the staff take their time to take your order and to get you your check, however food comes out shortly after ordering. The one issue I had with this cafe was that it took time for a waiter to come get our order and give us our check at the end of our meal. An additional issue that went hand in hand with the long wait time is that they billed us wrong. We first gave them our credit cards but they declined. We tried 3 different credit cards from 3 different people, so it wasn't our cards the problem was on their end. Then, we had to pay with physical money which wasn't an issue, however after we gave them our money the credit cards went through so we paid double what we needed to. On the positive side, when we brought up the credit card issue with them they were quick to resolve it and were very apologetic.

Fantastic new coffee shop. I ordered the shakshuka and hot chocolate and everything was delicious. Beautiful location also.

Great food. We got pizza, halloumi salad, and cannelloni. Everything was great. Service was a bit slow as teenagers do the waiting, but that's kind of standard here. Would definitely recommend.
